Our wine originates in Sabbione, in the municipality of Reggio Emilia, on the estate surrounding Villa Davoli.
This is where the Tresinaro stream once flowed, which is why the soil is fertile and the microclimate is unique.
The ancellotta is a grape with a high polyphenol content, so much so that even its pulp has an intense colour.
Despite its high anthocyanin content, it makes for a very delicate grape.

The natural oenological predisposition of wine made from Ancellotta grapes is to express red fruit and a taste tending towards neutrality, a characteristic that has made it a powerful ally of the bottler: ancellotta is present in the most renowned Italian wines, but don't tell anyone!

Our wine is born in Sabbione, in the municipality of Reggio Emilia, on the estate surrounding Villa Davoli.
The brand takes its name from the Villa Davoli that stands on the estate, intended as a holiday home for Aristide Davoli's family and an admirable example of early 20th century rationalism. Situated in the Reggio Emilia countryside and designed by architect Bottoni, it was purchased together with the surrounding estate in 1970.
